How do I get film clients? – Community Documentary Filmmaking Redux Tutorialspoint

I’m always looking for new film clients. You never know what the film landscape is going to look like. So, if you’re a filmmaker and can help people like myself make something happen, by all means reach out to me. That’s not to say that I won’t be available to meet with new people, I will always be free to meet with and work with anyone, any time. But, the more films I shoot, the more I need to meet filmmakers and the more I need to get into the film industry. I’ll start with just a handful, and then I’ll start to do my own deals. So I don’t expect to be working on the side for many years after. I’m looking forward to that. As long as I can meet with new people, I’ll continue to grow.

What would you say is the biggest challenge of becoming a film director or producer?

The main thing that will make me want to take on a film project is that I can do something fun, that I feel like I can accomplish, and that I’m comfortable doing. And I think I have something that I think can be successful. I’m very lucky that I have a good family, great friends, and like myself, I’m open to meeting new people. So, the challenge isn’t really about making me feel like a failure, because I’m a failure. I just have to have a good job, and a good family, and good friends who believe in me. So that’s not a challenge‚Ķ I just believe in my abilities and I work hard.

Do you have any tips for people looking to become filmmakers or to get their foot in the door with film?

What I would tell anyone is that if you’re just starting out, you’re looking at a very limited landscape of films. However, most of the people creating or funding new films are already well into their careers. There are a lot of great stories from other people that will tell you the truth, but it’s not the only way to make your own film. I don’t expect people to be successful in just producing, but by getting the word out about your project and getting people involved they might become interested in you. If you can do something that’s fun, and you’d like to try to accomplish something, that’s a great place to start.
