You don’t need to start from scratch. You make your own contacts with talented directors, like Steven Spielberg, Quentin Tarantino, Tim Burton, etc. Then, go to film school. I’m not saying that film school is for everybody, but the good news is that there are over 10,000 filmmakers per year, and it’s free! There are other great free schools if you just want to look around. A lot of them have a great curriculum, but they can be overwhelming, so I created the free college film courses in order to help you get started. There are a lot of free webinars and courses available that will teach you the fundamentals of filmmaking, but once you find a school that fits what you’re interested in, you can go online, and have access to all the courses that they give you.

I think there are so many amazing filmmakers out there that could benefit from this website — from actors, directors, directors of photography, and producers.

What inspires you to tell your stories?

As I began writing this I was struggling with what I wanted to write. I knew what I wanted to tell, and I was frustrated by how difficult it was for me to write. At times I felt that I was trying too hard. But over the years my personal problems and feelings of hopelessness have been brought out more to the forefront. Even though some things are just personal troubles of my own, I hope that my stories inspire other people to create amazing films.

Your filmmaking resume looks fantastic, but you’ve never released your work online on YouTube. Is this something you’ve done, or is it something you’re planning to take advantage of in the future?

I’ve tried to make a more concerted effort to release all my projects to various digital platforms, like YouTube. However, I have discovered that a lot of people have more of a problem with this than I do. On YouTube, I’ve never had a single takedown, and I’m still working on many of my projects on YouTube. YouTube has also shown me the opportunity to upload more frequently when I want to do so. So I think it’s worth taking the chance to see if you can make YouTube your own. There are more than a few videos out there now that feature my films, and more than a few are also being used on other sites.
