I like to use the time between the first time you take care of the video and the first time you are finished editing it, to edit the next one! I try and give you enough time to get things in order and finish the edit before I leave for another job. If you want to get started and work on your first video, you can do something like 5 minutes, 7 minutes, and so on.
Can you give us any tips about editing video? Do you have any specific guidelines on time and editing the videos?
Like most of us, I like to stick with the flow of the video. If you feel it is flowing a little too fast, you can go slow or slow and fast.
I generally edit video for the internet because it has the fewest interruptions and that allows me to keep the editing to a level consistent with the video as a whole. Sometimes I don’t even write. I just put on my headphones and play through the video over the course of several nights.
What is the best resource you use for preparing for YouTube competitions? Do you want to attend one of your own or do you find this kind of preparation useful for other people?
My favorite resources that I like to use when preparing for competition and the rest are:
Vidyo: If you want to learn a bit of Japanese, this would be a good place to start. You can also watch a few of the older vidyos and try out some of their skills.
Videos of the Day: This is the best way to learn the Japanese language if you are struggling. I recommend watching a lot of videos on YouTube and finding some great ones that you like a lot.
What are some of the difficulties you have with preparing a video for competitions and how do you usually approach these problems?
In my first video, I just made a single sentence and I could tell the video was going to take a long time to edit. After that point I always try and speed it up while cutting into the background of the video.
